Based in San Rafael, CA, 'Til Dawn is a 15 piece a cappella group made up of teens from different high schools around Marin. We perform at a variety of concerts, festivals, elementary schools, public events, private parties, and business functions in and around the bay area. We love to sing, performing on average 40-50 times a year.

The Anything Goes Chorus is a mixed community chorus started in 1980 by jazz vocalist and director Ellen Robinson. The repertoire covers a variety of styles: jazz, popular, show tunes, a cappella, world music and oldies. Annual spring concerts combine both San Francisco and Oakland choruses to create a 50 member chorus with a performance at a major venue in the Bay Area. Their performances create a beautiful, moving and fun program that always has a few surprises with a sprinkling of choreography and props. In addition, the chorus performs at Bay Area assisted living facilities sharing the joy of singing with those who can't get out to hear music.

Rehearsal info: One group meets on Wednesdays in Oakland, two groups meet on Thursdays in San Francisco.

"Rita & The Cosmos" is a Marin based a cappella singing group of six sassy gals. Our group (as pictured left to right: Bobbi, Carolyn, Toni, Rita, Lauren and Gloria) was formed in 2005 when Rita assembled some musically inclined friends. Our repertoire includes a mixture of standards, jazz, pop and Broadway tunes, featuring original, upbeat, four part arrangements that will get your fingers snapping and your toes tapping! The songs reflect themes of friendship, spirituality, romance and love. Selections by Berlin and Gershwin are among the crowd-pleasing favorites. We perform at formal and informal events including cocktail and dinner parties, holiday celebrations, other special occasions, as well as at senior living centers in counties throughout the Bay area. Requests for personalized parodies are happily accommodated.

We are a dynamic chorus comprised of fabulous women of diverse ages and backgrounds who sing barbershop style a cappella harmony. SF Sound Wave is dedicated to continuous vocal improvement while creating great friendships and having fun! We welcome women who love to sing and are striving for excellence.

Rehearsal info: Rehearsals on Thursday nights at 7:00 pm at St. Anne’s Auditorium, 850 Judah Street, between 14th Ave & Funston.

Founded in 1987 by Artistic Director, Jan Pedersen Schiff as a women's chorus, Wings of Song, Singers Marin today is an association of choruses for amateur and professional singers, including youth and adults, that provides expert training in vocal skills and musicianship, while presenting charitable performances and high quality concerts for the local community and beyond.

Rehearsal info: Adult Rehearsals are at the Community Congregational Church in Tiburon, Tuesdays and Wednesday mornings,  and Youth Rehearsals are at the Mt. Tamlapais Church in Mill Valley on Monday afternoons and evenings. Other days and locations for the children’s chorus.

The Redwood Chordsmen are Sonoma County's premier men's chorus, singing barbershop harmony and other four-part a cappella styles since 1965. We perform throughout the year producing two annual shows and singing at contests, conventions, community events, and private functions.

Audition policy: Non Audition. If you want to develop as a singer...You'll find lots of opportunities to learn more about your voice and how to use it through weekly meetings, workshops, schools and available instructional materials.

Rehearsal info: The Chordsmen practise on Thursday evenings from 7:30 to 10:30 pm at The Scottish Rite Masonic Center, 600 Acacia Lane, Santa Rosa.

The Mayflower Community Chorus is the performing ensemble of the Mayflower Choral Society, a nonprofit organization devoted to supporting the educational and cultural benefits of musical performance to its members, the Marin community, and general public. The Mayflower Community Chorus has no formal auditions, but members must meet certain musical qualifications. Being a member of the Chorus requires regular attendance to build both shared choral experience and knowledge. We become an ensemble when you go from "I know this" to "We know this together" and from "I can do this" to "We can do this together."

The Lighthouse Singers is a interdenominational community-based gospel choir in Marin County, California. Directed by Reverend Ulis Redic, Jr., the choir's repertoire includes both traditional & contemporary gospel music. Founded by Helen J. H. Stephens in 1979, For over thirty years the choir has excited audiences throughout the U.S.A. in both multi-faith and multi-racial church services, community service performances, inspirational gospel workshops & national gospel conventions. The Lighthouse Singers choir has been acclaimed for its beautiful harmonies, rich sound, and inspiring presence. These qualities earned the Lighthouse Singers honors for at the Gospel Academy Awards, held annually at Oakland's Paramount Theater. The Lighthouse Singers is dedicated to cultural & spiritual outreach through music---singing & teaching gospel music. Recent engagements include benefits in San Francisco at the Westin St. Francis and in San Rafael at Unity, memorial services at Dominican College Chapel, San Rafael and celebrations at a variety of churches. The Lighthouse Singers perform throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond.

Pacific Empire Chorus is the premier northern California women's, 4-part a cappella, award winning mid-sized chorus. PEC is a 501c(3) organization, dedicated to bringing a cappella harmony, to women of all ages throughout Sonoma, Marin and Napa counties. The Harmony Sweepstakes A Cappella Festival is the premier American showcase for vocal harmony music. The annual national competition draws from hundreds of vocal groups from around the country with regional competitions in eight cities. The winning group from each festival is flown to perform in front of celebrity judges and a sold out house of enthusiastic a cappella fans at the National Finals.
