The Mayflower Community Chorus has no formal auditions, but members must meet certain musical qualifications. Being a member of the Chorus requires regular attendance to build both shared choral experience and knowledge. We become an ensemble when you go from “I know this” to “We know this together” and from “I can do this” to “We can do this together.”

We're Scales of the City, one of San Francisco's newest co-ed a cappella groups! Based on the model of a collegiate glee club, but decidedly updated, we're a group of performers who love singing pop music from our childhoods and today, with a sprinkling of showtunes just for kicks. We're all about making great music to share, and having a great time doing it!.

Location: Rehearsals are Wednesday Nights at ODC in San Francsico.

The Marin Men's Chorus (MMC) is a group of men whose common denominator is the joy of singing. The MMC rehearses weekly and is a non-credit course at the College of Marin. No audition necessary.

The Anything Goes Chorus is a mixed community chorus started in 1980 by jazz vocalist and director Ellen Robinson. The repertoire covers a variety of styles: jazz, popular, show tunes, a cappella, world music and oldies. Annual spring concerts combine both San Francisco and Oakland choruses to create a 50 member chorus with a performance at a major venue in the Bay Area. Their performances create a beautiful, moving and fun program that always has a few surprises with a sprinkling of choreography and props. In addition, the chorus performs at Bay Area assisted living facilities sharing the joy of singing with those who can’t get out to hear music.

Location: One group meets on Wednesdays in Oakland, two groups meet on Thursdays in San Francisco.

World Harmony Chorus is an East Bay community chorus that sings a cappella World Music. Our repertoire includes poly-rhythmic African songs; ornamented, hauntingly beautiful Balkan songs, spicy Latin rhythms, and little known traditional songs from diverse cultures. The music is rhythmic, fascinating, and fun to sing.

Location: Rehearsals Tuesday, Lake Merritt Methodist Church, 1330 Lakeshore Ave, Oakland
